REFER200 eligibility checker

Six quick questions to estimate which portion of the £200 you're likely to earn. Advisory only — Tide makes the final decision on every account.

Are you a new Tide customer?
Do you have a UK business or UK-registered company?
Can you complete ID verification?
Can you spend £100 on the Tide card within 30 days?
Can you deposit £5,000 into Tide Instant Saver within 7 days?
Can you keep the £5,000 in Instant Saver for 30 days?

How the checker decides

REFER200 has two independent rewards. The checker maps your six answers to the published eligibility criteria — new-customer status, UK business, ID verification — and then asks whether you can complete each qualifying step. It returns four possible states:

  • Full £200 — you're new to Tide, UK-based, can complete KYC, can hit £100 of card spend in 30 days, and can deposit and hold £5,000 in Instant Saver.
  • £75 only — you can do the card-spend step but not the saver step. The £75 is still meaningful and almost any working business can earn it.
  • £125 only — you have the £5,000 to lock for 30 days but expect card spend below £100. Most businesses clear £100 of card spend without trying, so this state is rarer than it sounds.
  • Not eligible / check with Tide — typically an existing Tide customer, a non-UK applicant, or a KYC blocker. Tide makes the final call.

What this checker cannot do

  • Approve your account. Only Tide can approve an application — decisions are based on the documents you provide and Tide's risk model.
  • Guarantee the cashback. Tide validates the qualifying activity against your account and pays the reward at its discretion within the published terms.
  • See your Tide data. The checker is purely advisory. Nothing you enter is shared with Tide or stored beyond your current browser session.

If your result looks borderline

"Not sure" answers nudge results toward the check with Tide state. If you're on the fence — for example, you're probably a new customer but had a short-lived Tide account years ago — open Tide's signup flow and let Tide tell you whether REFER200 attaches. There's no cost to trying.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tide actually use this checker?+

No — Tide makes its own eligibility decision. The checker is an independent advisory tool based on the conditions Tide publishes.

Is my data stored?+

No. Your answers live in your browser session only and are not sent to Tide or any third party.

Why does 'Not sure' affect my result?+

Uncertain answers on qualifying steps push you toward the partial / review state because we can't confidently predict whether you'll complete that step.

I'm a new customer but I'm worried about the £5,000 — can I still claim?+

Yes — the £75 card-spend portion is independent of the saver step. You'll qualify for £75 by completing £100 of normal card spend in 30 days.

Does it matter how soon after the account opens I do the steps?+

Yes. The £5,000 saver deposit must arrive within 7 days, and £100 of card spend must complete within 30 days. Earlier is safer.

Can I retake the checker?+

Yes — change any answer and the result updates instantly.
