What is the current Tide referral code?+
REFER200. It applies to new UK Tide business accounts and is worth up to £200 cashback.
Is REFER200 a promo code or a referral code?+
Tide treats it as a referral code (it attaches a referring partner to the application). Functionally, it acts like a promo code at signup — you enter it in the referral / promo code field.
Where do I enter REFER200?+
Use the Open Tide button on this site so the code attaches automatically. If you applied directly via Tide, paste REFER200 into the referral / promo code field during sign-up.
How is the £200 split?+
£75 for completing £100 of Tide card transactions within 30 days of opening; £125 for depositing £5,000 into Tide Instant Saver within 7 days and holding for 30 days.
Do I have to take both rewards?+
No. Meet only the card-spend step and you receive £75. Meet only the saver step and you receive £125. Meet both and you receive the full £200.
Can existing Tide customers use REFER200?+
No — it's for new UK Tide business customers only. Closed accounts being re-opened are not eligible.
Does opening Tide hit my credit file?+
Tide doesn't run a hard credit check to open a business account. Standard identity and fraud verification checks apply but typically don't affect your personal credit score.
What if I missed entering REFER200?+
Tide generally can't attach a referral code retroactively. See our forgot-to-enter-the-code guide for next steps and Tide support wording.
How long until cashback arrives?+
Each portion is typically credited after the qualifying step is verified — usually shortly after the 30-day card-spend window closes and after the 30-day Instant Saver hold completes.
Where does the cashback land?+
Into your Tide business account. You can transfer it onward to any UK current account by Faster Payment afterwards.
Is the cashback taxable?+
Cashback received in connection with business activity is normally taxable as business income in the UK. Speak to your accountant about the correct treatment.
Can sole traders use REFER200?+
Yes — sole traders, freelancers, contractors and limited companies are all eligible, provided they're new UK Tide business customers.
Are REFER75 and REFER175 still valid?+
No. Both are withdrawn. REFER200 replaces them — see our offer history page.
Can I get cashback if my account is declined?+
No. The account must be approved and active for any qualifying step to count.
Is there a deadline to use REFER200?+
Tide may retire or change the code at any time. The page-level 'Last checked' date shows when we last confirmed the code as live.
Does REFER200 affect Tide's monthly fees?+
No — the code only affects the signup cashback. Standard Tide plan fees (Free, Smart £12.49/mo, Pro £27.49/mo, Max £69.99/mo) and per-item fees still apply normally.
Can multiple people in my business use REFER200?+
REFER200 attaches to a Tide business account application. It applies once per new business account. Other directors opening their own businesses can use REFER200 on their own applications.
Is REFER200 available to non-UK businesses?+
No. The Tide business account and REFER200 offer are for UK-registered businesses only.
Where do I report a problem with REFER200?+
